Instructor Ratings

CFI (Flight Instructor), CFII (Instrument Flight Instructor) and MEI (Multi-Engine Instructor)

Many jobs require a minimum of 1500 hours of flight time before you may be considered for employment. This is also true if you wish to attain your ATP Certificate. Getting your CFI, CFII and MEI ratings will help you get a job as a flight instructor to build those needed flight hours. Not only does this teach you the finer points of flying but you also become a near encyclopedia of meteorology, aerodynamics, aerospace physiology and aviation regulations. Many professional flight departments look for candidate with instructor rating as this makes you far more competent in a professional flight environment.
